- SOHO/LASCO Wavelet Movies: The LASCO C2 and EIT 195 archive is being re-processed using wavelet-based algorithms. The wavelet transform, presents considerable advantages compared to traditional methods since it is able to discriminate structures as a function of scale (size). Thus, small scale structures embedded in larger-scale features are detected, enhanced, and eventually filtered. SOHO is a project of international cooperation between ESA and NASA. The LASCO and EIT images have been enhanced using a technique developed by Dr. Guillermo Stenborg.
